Aich, January 2010 - Effective January 15, 2010, Marc O. Eckert, grandson of the company's founder, Martin Bulthaup, will assume the position of CEO of Bulthaup GmbH & Co. KG. In this role, he is responsible both for the commercial sector and for the market and technology divisions, which he is taking over from Gerald O. Stenzenberger, who is leaving the company. This strategic decision is allowing the family-owned company to strengthen its position as an independent family operation. "On the backdrop of the economic crisis, we are particularly proud to affirm that we have concluded 2009 with positive results, and are able to look to the new year with confidence,” explains Marc O. Eckert. "The last year has shown us that our bulthaup b3, b2 and b1 product lines afford us an excellent position, and we have set ourselves quite ambitious goals for 2010.”
